Who are the ear care plans suitable for?
The plans are designed for patients who experience recurrent ear wax build-up and prefer planned microsuction care throughout the year.
Is microsuction guaranteed at every plan appointment?
Microsuction is carried out where clinically appropriate following clinical assessment. If wax removal is not required at a planned visit, the appointment may be used as an ear health check and advice appointment.
What does “Full Hearing Assessment available where clinically required” mean?
A Full Hearing Assessment is available where clinically required, for example if hearing concerns remain after wax removal or if further hearing assessment is recommended following your ear examination.
When is sodium bicarbonate provided?
Sodium bicarbonate ear drops are provided where clinically required and recommended by the clinician.
How can the Complete and Advanced plan discounts be used?
The Complete Plan includes 10% off selected clinic services and the Advanced Plan includes 15% off selected clinic services during the plan year. This may include treatment of ear infections, foreign body removal, ear-related products, ear swabs and referral letters where applicable.
Can I receive a discount on private scans?
Yes. Complete and Advanced Ear Care Plan members can receive a discount on eligible private scan appointments through our sister site, PrivateScans. Complete Plan members receive 5% off and Advanced Plan members receive 10% off eligible MRI, CT, ultrasound, echocardiogram, X-ray, DEXA and mammogram appointments booked through PrivateScans. Can I use my plan discount for additional microsuction appointments?
No. The Complete and Advanced plan discounts apply to selected clinic services and cannot be used for additional microsuction treatment.
What happens if a third appointment is clinically required?
If a third microsuction appointment is clinically required, this appointment has a normal value of £65. Complete Ear Care Plan members can access this appointment at half the usual fee. Advanced Ear Care Plan members receive this appointment complimentary where clinically required. This benefit applies only where clinically required.
How do I pay for an ear care plan?
Payment must be made in full before your first plan appointment takes place.
Can I join a plan after having microsuction?
Yes. If you have recently had microsuction treatment, you can still join an Ear Care Plan within 14 days of that first appointment. You will simply pay the difference between the microsuction appointment already paid and your chosen plan.
Are the plans refundable?
All plans are non-refundable once the first appointment has been used.
Can unused appointments be carried over?
Plan appointments must be used within the 12-month plan period and cannot usually be carried forward.
